Visualize FOS Plots data

The Forest Observation System is an international cooperation to establish a global in-situ forest biomass database to support earth observation and to encourage investment in relevant field-based observations and science.

The Forest Observation System provides well curated biomass plot data in a unified format, that is aggregated from tree level data consistently across different networks.

It is possible to display the different measurements made in situ by clicking on the "FOS plots" catalog in "Explore" section on the MAAP :

Then click on the different measurement points recorded on the whole globe and take note of the parameters recorded in situ

You will find all the information on the in situ surveys with images of the local biomass. These elements are essential for the study of the monitoring indicators of the earth's ecosystems and climate.
